Arundel Park Lodge
Arundel Park Lodge is a family run establishment which opened on the 6th January 1988 to provide the elder person with their required nursing needs. The Registered providers are Anita and Michael Redwood and their mission is “to maintain independence and provide discreet care within a warm and homely atmosphere, surrounded by comfortable and cheerful accommodation”.
Arundel Park Lodge Nursing Home is located in Saltdean immediately to the East of the historic village of Rottingdean within a few minutes’ walk from the Promenade and approximately five miles to the East of Brighton and a similar distance from Newhaven. Arundel Drive East forms a virtually circular thoroughfare extending around Saltdean Park. Arundel Park Lodge is located on the eastern side of the park and enjoys magnificent sea views.
The houses are well-maintained 1930 Art Deco style properties with well-tended gardens and a sun terrace at the rear of the property. It lies opposite the park within easy reach of the Saltdean Lido buildings including the Library and Community Centre. The park itself is large and well maintained with many recreational facilities available such as bowls and tennis. There are two parades of shops within walking distance and the area is well served by the religious community with churches and halls.

ABOUT THE HOME
Arundel Park Lodge itself is attractively decorated throughout. The safety of our residents, their guests, members of staff and outside providers is always paramount and hence the house has a modern fire detection and alarm system which covers every room and corridor. Wide hallways, hand rails and a passenger lift provides access to all levels within the home which includes wheelchair users.
Two lounges provide either a sea view or doors and views to the terrace and rear gardens. There is also a dining room and a quiet seating area with garden views for the comfort of the residents and their guests. The garden is well stocked with mature plants and is quite a sun trap. The service also boosts a garden room for residents use.
SERVICES
The home accommodates thirty two residents with 26 single occupancy rooms, all with en-suite facilities, 14 of these with wet room facilities and 3 shared rooms, also with en-suite facilities. Every room within the home is tastefully furnished and has a colour television and emergency nurse call system with individual heating controls.
We continually aim to provide a safe, secure and comfortable environment for all our residents. Help is given to maintain independence and mobility. Residents are cared for as individuals and are encouraged to live their lives to the full. Central to our philosophy is the belief in respect for the individual and our recognition that Arundel Park Lodge becomes their home.
We have created a bright cheerful environment, with full 24-hour supervision by trained and experienced staff. A registered nurse is on duty at all times. All areas enjoy easy access and a wide range of mobility aids are provided including hoists, grab rails, a passenger lift to all floors and specially adapted equipment.
The qualified catering staff provide a varied and nutritious daily menu to a very high standard and are able to cater for special dietary needs. All meals are freshly produced on the day. Guests are welcome to join residents at meal times.
